ALZHEIMER'S
AWARENESS SUNDAY
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

On Sunday, March 15, 2026, the sanctuary of Central Chapel A.M.E. Church was transformed into a sea of purple. The congregation paused its usual rhythm to stand in solidarity with those navigating the long, often difficult journey of Alzheimer’s disease.
The tribute was twofold: a solemn acknowledgment of those living with memory loss and a heartfelt salute to the caretakers—the silent heroes who offer patience and love daily when memories begin to fade. By wearing purple, the Central Chapel family reminded every affected member that they do not walk this path alone.
It was a day of shared worship, quiet prayers, and a powerful reminder that while the mind may forget, the community always remembers.
